Beberapa kendaraan dibakar, termasuk satu mobil milik polisi.

Di New York, para pengunjuk rasa dan polisi bentrok di luar Barclays Center dengan para pemrotes melemparkan botol dan lebih banyak lagi pada petugas kepolisian New York.

Thousands of demonstrators protesting the death of George Floyd took to the streets of New York City for a third day on Saturday, blocking traffic, setting fire to police vehicles and scuffling with officers at simultaneous marches that raged through all 5 boroughs and briefly stopped outside Trump Tower in Midtown in Manhattan.⁣ ⁣ ⁣ Through much of the afternoon until well after dark, crowds of protesters holding signs and chanting slogans made their way through Harlem, the East Village, Times Square, Columbus Circle, Jackson Heights in Queens, the Flatbush section of Brooklyn and portions of the Bronx and Staten Island. The protests sometimes seemed to move independently but at other moments appeared to break apart, come together and re-splinter in a way that tested the ability of the police to maintain control.⁣ ⁣ Protests have spread in at least 75 cities across the U.S. as tens of thousands of people poured into streets to express anger and heartbreak over the death of yet another black man at the hands of the police. A largely peaceful day of protests descended into a night of chaos, destruction and sporadic violence in a number of cities.⁣ ⁣ ⁣ On Sunday morning, the authorities were still sorting through the smoldering wreckage as the vast scope of the unrest came into sharper focus.⁣ ⁣ Squad cars were set on fire in Philadelphia, stores were looted in Los Angeles, police officers in Richmond, Va., were injured and hospitalized, and at least 1 person was killed in Indianapolis, where a deputy police chief said the department had received so many reports of shots fired that they had lost count. Demonstrators also reached the gates of the White House.⁣ ⁣ ⁣ As protests spread from coast to coast, mayors in more than two dozen cities declared curfews — the first time so many local leaders have simultaneously issued such orders in the face of civic unrest since 1968, after the assassination of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.⁣ ⁣ Tap the link in our bio for the latest on this developing story. Photos by @dontgabalot @nytchangster @hiroko.masuike and @steffikeith.
